Current Priorities

The current priorities for CCA for 2026/27 are:

  • Traffic Management: Review of the village area (focus on speed mitigation via better signage), including safe pedestrian/bike access at the end of Laguna Street to the community park by NSC. Include discussion of large caravan access to the camping ground.

  • Foreshore management and restoration of erosion areas.

  • Reinstallation of water taps along the foreshore area.

  • Dog regulations/dog off-leash review to submit to Council, along with community feedback via a recent survey of the community.

  • Telecommunications/blackspot survey and feedback to telecommunications companies and the Federal member to seek improvements.

  • A Placemaking program: A plan based on how the community works and what it wants. Placemaking is a collaborative, community-driven process that reimagines and reinvents public spaces to maximize shared value, strengthening the connection between people and their environment.

  • Membership drive: Current members are encouraged to speak to neighbours, advise what CCA does, and encourage them to join, as strength comes in numbers.
