Become a member

The membership of the Cootharaba Community Association consists of the following classes:

Ordinary members (unlimited), must:

  • have six months standing as a member before voting rights accrue

  • own property in the area or be on the electoral role for the area, or satisfy the Management Committee that they have a genuine interest in the welfare of the Cootharaba community.

  • support the objectives of the association.

Youth members (unlimited), must:

  • be under 18 years of age

  • reside with an ordinary or life member of the association, or satisfy the Management Committee that they have a genuine interest in the welfare of the Cootharaba community

  • support the objectives of the association.

Youth members may not vote and are not eligible for election to the Management Committee.

Life members (not more than 5 at any one time), must be an ordinary member who has rendered outstanding or exemplary service to the Cootharaba Community Association.

Life members are not required to pay annual membership fees, and maintain all rights and privileges of ordinary membership. Life members are appointed by resolution of the Management Committee.

Honorary members (unlimited), must be an individual who is not a member of the CCA, who has rendered outstanding or exemplary service to the assocation or the community

Honorary members are appointed by resolution of the Management Committee.

Honorary members may not vote and are not eligible for election to the Management Committee.

Application process

Membership applications are considered by the Management Committee at the meeting following receipt of a signed application form and annual fee.

 

The current fees are a $5 once only joining fee and a $20 annual membership fee per person.

Existing members

 

Already a member? Membership renewals for 2023/24 financial year were due on 30 June. If you haven't already done so, please renew your membership as soon as you can. Without your support, the CCA cannot continue its invaluable service to our community.

Ending your membership

You may notify your intention to end your membership in writing to the secretary.

Membership ends if membership fees are in arrears for at least 2 months.
